We are committed to the rehabilitation and fitness of dogs through the use of hydrotherapy. We offer private consultations and treatment programmes at our Centre situated in Waterlooville, close to the city of Portsmouth. We at Buddy's are dedicated to providing a caring and professional service. We consider your dog's condition, physical and mental welfare to be our utmost priority. Our hydrotherapy centre is designed to provide the best rehabilitation and fitness programme for your dog, with the aim of improving each individual dog's physical and mental wellbeing.
Hydrotherapy is used to treat conditions such as:
* Arthritis * Hip and Elbow dysplasia * Spinal injuries * OCD * Sprains and breaks * Cruciate ligament problems * CDRM * Pre and post operative muscle regeneration and maintenance * Increase fitness levels for dogs that compete in agility, flyball and racing
Benefits of Hydrotherapy:
* Relief from pain, swelling and stiffness * Improved physical fitness * Improved mobility * Cardiovascular fitness * Relaxation * Reduces obesity

Buddy's is a family-run centre, borne out of love and commitment to our brave Golden Retriever, Buddy, who unfortunately was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at 3 months old and underwent 3 failed hip replacement procedures, eventually having to have his hip removed.
NARCH is the only national organisation that requires members to complete hydrotherapy training. Being accepted by NARCH shows the high standards at Buddy's and the commitment Douglas has to providing the highest quality of treatment and care of your dog.
At Buddy's we feel it important to pass on the knowledge of hydrotherapy to students therefore we allow local college students undergoing courses on animal care to spend time with us gaining valuable work experience and a sound knowledge of canine conditions and the benefits which can be achieved through the use of hydrotherapy.
Douglas Wood is passionate about the rehabilitation of dogs suffering pain from illness or injury. As part of his training, Douglas underwent an intensive training programme at Greyfriars Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Centre, one of the best training courses in Britain, and completed his Certificate in Hydrotherapy (see Certification).
This training was of such a high standard that Douglas is now a registered Canine Hydrotherapist through NARCH (National Association of Canine Hydrotherapists) and is required to complete 20 hours of CPD a year.
